External Scholarships

There are many places to find outside scholarships. If you belong to clubs and organizations, please speak to their main office for scholarship information. Please follow us on Twitter for outside scholarship opportunities.

There are several searchable external scholarship databases provided online. The following are some examples of scholarship search engines which may help you during your search:

HSF Scholar Program – Application Deadline February 15, 2025. Multiple Awards ranging from $500-$5,000.00.
Winston Scholarship Program – Application Deadline March 14, 2025. Up to twenty awards of $10,000.00.
Imana Healthcare Scholarships – Application Deadline March 15, 2025. 4 Imana scholarships with an award of $5,000.00 each. There are also donor supported scholarships as well.
Albert W Dent and Foster G McGaw Graduate Student Scholarship – Application Deadline March 31, 2025. Up to fifteen $5,000.00 scholarships being awarded.
Mission Square Retirement Memorial Scholarship Fund – Application Deadline April 1, 2025. Multiple awards up to $10,000.00 Award.
American Indian Education Fund – Application Deadline April 4th, 2025. $2,000.00 awards being provided.
BHW Women in Stem Scholarship – Application Deadline April 15th, 2025. One $3,000.00 Scholarship will be awarded.
Navisite’s Next Steminist Scholarship Program – Application deadline May 16, 2025. Three winners chosen, each receiving a $10,000 scholarship.
Ron Holland Caregiver Scholarship – Application Deadline June 1. 2025. One $1,000.00 Caregiver College Scholarship.
$2000 Sallie Mae Scholarship – Application deadline at the end of each month.
California Veterans Association College Fee Waiver Program – Application Deadline: Rolling. Multiple awards with Varying amounts.
LA Tutors Innovation in Education Scholarship – Application deadline is on the 20^th of each month. Scholarship Amount $500.00.
MPOWER Monthly Scholarship Series – Application deadline is the last day of each month.
SOFI Scholarship – Application deadline at the end of each month.
College Ave $1,000 Scholarship Monthly Sweepstakes – Application deadline at the end of each month.
Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Program – Maximum award of up to $1,000.00. For US Military Veterans. Program will remain open while funds are available.

If you receive financial assistance from private sources such as external donors, company tuition remission, VA Education Benefits, these funds will need to be reported to the Financial Aid Office. This would include outside scholarships, tuition assistance, or educational benefits awarded within the academic year. The total amount received from all resources plus the Federal Loans cannot exceed the student’s cost of attendance.

In efforts to lower educational loan debt, it is our policy to apply all financial assistance toward the Graduate PLUS Loan should the amount requested is up to the student’s cost of attendance within their overall financial aid package.
