A Message from President Mohamed Abousalem

It is an immense honor for me to serve as the third president of the esteemed KGI community. I am inspired by our faculty, staff, and students, who drive KGI’s outsized global footprint and are dedicated to tackling global health challenges and developing leaders who are focused on bringing the power of life sciences to serve society.

As a young institution, we have a strong foundation upon which we are forging new pathways in biotechnology and healthcare through distinctive hands-on graduate education and translational research in support of the rapidly evolving fields in healthcare, biotech, and the life sciences. KGI, unlike many higher education institutions, has the ability to accelerate quickly, adapt, and nimbly leverage academic and research partnership opportunities that advance our mission and expand our reach.

Guided by our Strategic Plan 2035: Elevating Excellence Together, The years ahead are pivotal for KGI as we mature and expand our impact into local and global communities while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit that is central to our identity.

Together, we will leverage our excellence and expertise to elevate KGI’s leadership in developing the future leaders in healthcare, biotech, and research and ensure we continue to meet and respond to the needs of our students, researchers, and partners around the world.

Warm regards,
