KGI’s 25th Anniversary Speaker Series Continues in 2023 with Four Biotech and Healthcare Executives

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) will continue its 25th Anniversary celebration, which started in January 2022, through May 2023 with the next round of speaker series events. The speaker series, “Innovations in Science: The Next 25 Years,” discusses the future of healthcare and critical innovation with executive leaders in the biotech and healthcare industries.

Dr. Stephen Kingsmore, President and CEO of Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine, will be the next speaker in the series, visiting KGI’s campus on January 19, 2023 at 4 p.m. RSVP today, as seating is limited. The event is free and open to the Claremont community, all KGI students, alumni, faculty, staff, trustees, partners, and friends.

Dr. Steven Galson, Former Senior Vice President of Amgen and acting Surgeon General of the United States from 2007-2009, is the second speaker of the year on March 29, 2023. RSVP now.

Dr. Jeremy Levin, Chairman and CEO of Ovid Therapeutics, continues the series on April 20, 2023. RSVP now.

Dr. Marcia McNutt, President of the National Academy of Sciences, will conclude the series as KGI’s commencement speaker on May 13, 2023, during KGI’s annual commencement event.

The 25th Anniversary speaker series started on October 7, 2022, during the Founder’s Day celebration with a panel discussion about the future of biotech with KGI Board of Trustee members Dr. Ross Grossman, Teresia Bost, and Dr. Lydia Villa-Komaroff, moderated by Bonnie Anderson. Dr. David Lawrence, former dean of KGI’s School of Community Medicine, then spoke about the future of healthcare.

The Speaker Series then took to the road in San Diego with KGI Professor Dr. Kiana Aran in conversation with Dr. Paul Grint on November 1, 2022.
