Emir Osmanagic, PhD is Senior Director of Engineering at the new company, Mozarc Medical, focused on innovative kidney health. Mozarc Medical was recently born out of Medtronic, where its Renal Care Division split off to became an independent company.  Emir leads the largest R&D team in the organization, 180+ employees, with a global footprint, addressing both LCM of the current products at the marketplace as well as the pipeline of new product developments, including capital equipment and consumables.

A hands-on MedTech leader, Emir previously worked at Johnson & Johnson, leading Advanced Imaging and Visualization, cutting edge digital optical developments aimed at dramatic differentiation of both laparoscopic and robotic surgery.  At the J&J Spine, Emir led the digital transformation through both M&A and organic growth, where he designed and build the digital eco system and enabled additional market penetration. Within J&J, he was quickly recognized for both business and technical acumen and asked to serve their external innovation arms through J&J Innovation Centers and J-LABS.

Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Emir was Head of New Technology and Innovation for Baxter Healthcare leading the global team across multiple business entities and technical domains, medical devices, drug development technologies and analytics. 

In addition to his passion for using Science and Technology to make a clinical and business impact, Emir is also an Adjunct Professor at Washington University, School of Engineering and Applied Science.  He also serves at the External Advisory Board at Washington University, as well as the Corporate Advisory Board at Claremont KGI, where he's Chairman of the Board.
