KGI Welcomes 17 Biotech Corporations to Industry Spotlight Day

Industry Spotlight Day

CLAREMONT, Calif., Feb. 1, 2008 – Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) today announced that representatives from 17 biotech companies will attend KGI’s Fourth Annual Industry Spotlight Day on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008.

“We are excited to welcome all of these dynamic companies to KGI’s premiere corporate event,” said Diana Bartlett, KGI’s director of corporate partnerships. “This event enables life science companies and KGI to learn more about each other. Through shared information and networking, companies can enhance their talent pipelines and identify new project resources and KGI can enhance the unique opportunity it provides to students and faculty.”

Industry Spotlight Day provides important opportunities to both corporate participants and KGI Master of Bioscience (MBS) students. First-year MBS students get to meet potential corporate hosts for their summer internships, while second-year students can meet potential employers. Companies benefit by building awareness about their operations and identifying project, licensing and research collaborations.

Leaders in senior management, business development, human resources, operations, R&D, regulatory affairs and project management will be on campus representing the following companies:

  • Amgen
  • Amylin Pharmaceuticals
  • Applied BioSystems
  • Beckman Coulter
  • Global Life Science Ventures
  • LnX Research
  • Kinetic Concepts (KCI)
  • Frost & Sullivan
  • IntelliDot:

  • Kythera Pharmaceuticals
  • Tunnell Consulting

Industry Spotlight Day will begin at 7 am with a continental breakfast and conclude by 6 pm following the reception.
