KGI Joins with UC Irvine Extension to Assist New MBS Program: To expand graduate education opportunities for bioscience professionals, KGI and the University of California, Irvine Extension have come together to create a new education path for students by allowing them to apply their UCI certificate credit toward KGI’s new Fully Employed Master of Bioscience degree program.
KGI Awards Graduating Students with New Meritorious Honors: Establishing new honors for student achievement, KGI presented first-time awards for excellence in academics, leadership, institutional service and teamwork to graduating students as part of KGI’s sixth annual commencement celebration.

KGI Awarded $84,000 Grant from Haynes Foundation: In support of research on the potential of Los Angeles becoming a leading center for biotechnology, the grant will fund a study by Professor Steven Casper entitled "The Marketplace for Ideas: Can Los Angeles Build a Successful Biotechnology Cluster?" The grant is the first ever that KGI has received from the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation.
Professor Gail Baura Called Upon for Medical Device Expertise as Judge: Professor Gail Baura will attend the 2007 Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) ceremony as a judge for this year’s competition.
