Professor Croughan to Discuss 25 Years of CHO Cell Culture at International Conference 

Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) today announced that Dr. Matthew Croughan, KGI’s George B. and Joy Rathmann professor and director of the Amgen Bioprocessing Center, will present a keynote talk on 25 years of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell culture achievements at the Cell Culture Engineering XI Conference at 6:30 pm AEST on Thursday, April 17, 2008, in Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Claremont Colleges Form New Center for Mathematics 

 The Claremont College Consortium has formed a new joint venture—the Claremont Center for Mathematical Sciences (CCMS)—which will be led by Claremont Graduate University (CGU) and include math professors and students from CGU, Harvey Mudd College, Pomona College, Scripps College, Pitzer College, Claremont McKenna College and Keck Graduate Institute (KGI). The center becomes one of only a few similar centers in the nation, and one of three in California.
