Funding Opportunities

Financial Aid and Student Initiatives
KGI must be able to offer competitive financial aid packages to continue to attract a diverse group of talented students. With generous student financial assistance, we will increase the likelihood of attracting the very best students who will greatly contribute both to society and to KGI's reputation for excellence.

Endowments for Faculty Enhancement
An academic institution's excellence is largely determined by the caliber of its faculty. Funds for faculty enhancement will enable KGI to attract stellar individuals to establish and replenish a highly talented faculty and to develop exciting new areas of scholarship. Faculty enhancement funds also allow KGI to recognize and sustain its most productive scholars and teachers and thus help to maintain the desired standard of excellence.

Curriculum Development and Ongoing Programs
Keck Graduate Institute has pioneered an interdisciplinary, revolutionary curriculum delivered using unique pedagogical methods. To maintain excellence in teaching and to ensure the continued effectiveness and relevance of this groundbreaking curriculum, KGI's faculty must have sufficient time and resources to develop an exceptional product. Resources for curriculum development include materials that improve the effectiveness of course delivery, visitors to campus with expertise in particular areas and guest speakers who significantly add to the intellectual stimulation of KGI students and faculty.

Facilities and Capital Projects
Well-equipped laboratories and modern classrooms and libraries are essential for advanced research and excellent teaching. Funding for capital projects will allow KGI to provide the superb facilities necessary to sustain excellence in teaching and research. The scope of these projects ranges from entire new buildings, to laboratory clusters, to special-purpose teaching facilities, to office suites.

Investing in KGI's Future
KGI seeks financial support to endow faculty positions, student fellowships, research initiation, and discretionary funds; for facilities construction and equipment for both teaching and research; for curriculum development and other start-up activities; and for faculty research. The trustees of KGI, together with the directors of the W. M. Keck Foundation, invite individuals, foundations, and other organizations to make commitments of $2 million or more and thereby be designated co-founders of Keck Graduate Institute. In addition, numerous opportunities are available for name identification with physical facilities, with individuals (faculty and students), and with programmatic elements. Named endowment opportunities begin at $50,000.
